According to the World Health Organization (WHO), low back pain is the leading cause of disability globally. It is estimated to affect around 80% of the population at some point during their lifetime.

Due to its non-invasive and non-surgical nature, Chiropractic treatment is often sought to tackle back pain.

Here at Gatehouse Health, we believe that proper diagnoses is key to formulating an effective treatment plan. We will take a thorough history to understand your complaint, followed by a comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment to determine the exact root of the problem and treat accordingly, with the aim of preventing the issue from reoccurring.

We have plenty of experience treating acute and chronic back pain, sciatica, lumbago, muscle spasms and general back ache. A personalised treatment plan will be formulated based on the history and physical examination findings.

The effectiveness of chiropractic treatment has been recognised by The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). The recent NICE guidelines recommend chiropractic treatment (including spinal manipulation, spinal mobilisation and massage) for the early management of persistent non-specific low back pain. This variety of treatment techniques is used alongside rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle advice. We may request any previous imaging reports, such as X-Ray or MRI scans, if available.
