Oncology Physiotherapy uses specialist physiotherapy principles to support people affected by cancer, from the point of your diagnosis by your medical team, throughout your cancer treatment and after treatment ends. It helps manage the physical effects of cancer and its treatments, including fatigue, pain, neuropathy, lymphoedema, reduced strength, and changes in mobility or function.
The aim is to maintain and restore physical function, improve quality of life, and support participation in treatment alongside medical care.

Kat is an Oncology and Musculoskeletal Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience across both the NHS and private sectors.
She has completed postgraduate MSc-level study in Breast Cancer, Prehabilitation of the Cancer Patient, Acupuncture, and Extended Scope Physiotherapy Management of the Shoulder and Upper Quadrant.
Kat is a well-established member of Advanced Practitioner and Oncology Therapy networks, a guest lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, and leads the expert multiprofessional oncology clinical community at Perci Health – the UK’s largest and broadest virtual cancer clinic.
Outside of clinic, Kat is a busy mum and keen netball player within the local Battle leagues and @welcome_netball_club.
